It was reliably reported in February 1981 that many thousands of individuals in the U.S. have developed their private distilling equipment and are producing their own alcohol directly from the vegetation's photosynthesizing of the Sun's radiation into hydrocarbon molecules, which may be converted into the alcohol with which these moonshiners are now successfully operating their automobiles.
